What We Do
GoldenCitrus buys and sells physical precious metals: government-minted gold and silver coins, poured and minted bullion bars, sterling and coin silver, karat gold jewelry, and estate collections. On the buying side we stock recognised products such as Canadian Gold and Silver Maple Leafs, so what you purchase is easy to resell anywhere in the world. On the selling side we accept everything from a single broken chain to a full safety-deposit box of coins, and we price each item against the same live spot feed shown on this site.
How Our Pricing Works
Precious metals are a commodity, so pricing should never be a mystery. We start from the international spot price, convert it to Canadian dollars at the live exchange rate, and apply a clearly stated premium when you buy or a clearly stated payout percentage when you sell. Silver scrap and common coins are bought at spot; silver coins are sold at spot plus a $9–$11 premium. Our Process, Step by Step
- Estimate. Use the online estimator or the scrap calculator on our sell to us page to get a live spot-based range in seconds.
- Test and weigh. We verify purity with acid, XRF or specific-gravity testing and weigh every item on a calibrated scale in front of you.
- Firm offer. You receive a written CAD figure with the spot price and payout percentage broken out, valid while the market holds.
- Payment. Accept and we pay the same day by cash, cheque or e-transfer. Decline and there is no fee and no pressure.
